Ben is really persistent pursuing art and building his life around good culture in his practice. It's been a bit of a tough couple of weeks, and yesterday was no different. We had a six-hour rehearsal, then I went straight from there into an online talk addressing the lack of diversity in improv comedy... Race is a big topic for me. Bitterness and judgment of others is a big deal for Ben. So the tired conversation in the car on the way home (which brought about frustrated, angry tears from me) was about addressing change in our industry in the best most non-judgemental way. At the end of the day I think I did okay at the talk. We are both learning so much.
